[Luckily Steve doesn't reply to Bucky threatening him with anything more than a breath. He knows.]

I came to make sure that you weren't cursed or something.

I mean I don't know if there is a curse but it's been a while.

[ It's taking him a little moment to get his mind in gear, hair a mess, eyes unfocused. ] I don't think I'm cursed. [ And then with a grin. ] Come over here an' check, if y'need to.

[Steve moves inside and makes sure to close and also lock the door. As if someone else lives in this place. It's not that he's sure something will happen but Steve doesn't risk this sort of thing.

He moves to sit in the land of Barnes.]

[ Running a hand through his hair, eyeing up Steve. ] What do you reckon - am I cursed or do you gotta come closer?

[Steve really is crap at this. He lifts his legs on the bed and does come closer, so he's lying next to him even though the bed is kind of narrow. He looks pretty comfortable.]

Much. [ Bucky shifts, just to give him room, stifles a yawn. Then he leans in, presses his lips to the corner of Steve's mouth once, bringing with him just the scrape of stubble. ] Kay.

[Steve smiles, and turns just as Bucky kisses him to catch him full-on the mouth.]

[ Bucky grins at him, leans warm against his side. ] Y'really wanted to check up on me, huh?

[Steve leans back, and puts his nose right on top of Bucky's head]

Oh? So I get y'into my bed and the first thing you do is put up a fuss about my stink, huh? Is this like a counter move?

Like Crepe was sleeping on you.

[The dog has currently taken over Steve's empty bed, where she is snoozing the morning away]

Oh. [ Another yawn, this time stiffled against Steve's shoulder. ] She came to you this mornin', huh?

[He reaches over and takes Bucky's hand in his. He has the kinds of calluses only developed from using his shield - even though he wears gloves, it's not always]

[ That just encourages him to nuzzle into Steve's side a little, lining their fingers up and humming. ] Sorry, I'll make sure she stays in here from now on.

[ Like this, Bucky can examine Steve's profile without it being too blatant, and he feels sleepy, warm, a silly burst of fondness rattling in his chest. ]
