I think it would have been worse if we had come over when the City was mostly glass. At least over there we had stuff to do.

'Least now I get you all to myself. [ Crepe disagrees, laying her head back on Steve's back. ] Sort've.

[Well, Steve sits a little, and stretches. The clock's shuddered the minute hand over to 12:01 and he's feeling...well, more inclined. Crepe looks up and wags her tail, and Steve shoos her off the bed.]

Now you do.

[ She seems disgruntled, but pads off to find somewhere else to sleep, Bucky following the movement of his stretch in a way that is totally too obvious. ]

Ain't letting you out of my sight for a bit, gotta say.

[Steve moves so he's mostly on top of Bucky, his hands in Bucky's hair]

So no different from back home?

[ Well, hello. ] Yep, but hey, m'allowed. I missed you.

Even though you were with me every day?

[He presses a kiss to the corner of Bucky's mouth, and then to his neck. He suddenly wants to mark him, to bite a bruise on Bucky's neck. He doesn't want to hurt him, but he does bite, scraping his teeth against Bucky's skin]

I couldn't -- [ And it short-circuits Bucky's brain for a moment, hands sliding over his arms and digging in. ] I couldn't touch you, it killed me.

It makes everything worse, doesn't it?

[He mumbles that on Bucky's neck, and presses his face there for a minute. He's mostly straddling Bucky's hips]

Can I take your shirt off?

noooo I must to bed ;;

[ Humming, Bucky's not sure where this is going, but he kinda wants to let it take it's course. ] Sure.

[He tugs Bucky's shirt off, his fingers sliding over the newly exposed skin. It takes him a moment because he's never done this to someone else before, and once he gets it off he just stares for a second]

/reaches back longingly.

[ Bucky holds still for a moment, because Steve's seen him without a shirt before, but he's not going to fuck up the moment. Well, at least until he huffs, drags Steve back up to him to kiss him. It's been so long, and Bucky mutters as much against his mouth, ringing his arms around his broad waist like he's going to keep him there through sheer stubbornness. ]

[Steve seems more more enthusiastic than usual; he moves his hands to Bucky's waist, touching bare skin along the way as he kisses Bucky back. He hasn't done this in a month, he missed this.]

I'm not waiting another month, all right?

All right. [ He's a living distraction, Bucky curling his fingers in Steve's blond hair and staying there. For a moment he just strokes his scalp, happy to touch before his brain comes back into gear. ] Wait, you mean --?

[punchedhitler]

[He presses another kiss against Bucky's neck, right under his ear]

Do you want to?

[ Oh sweet merciful jesus. ]

Do you think there's a part o' me that don't wanna?

[punchedhitler]

I have to make sure.

[He sits up and unbuttons his overshirt and slides it off, and then pulls his undershirt over his head. Oh, Steve, why do you still dress like it's 1942?

Point is he is now shirtless over Bucky]

[ Well, he's just going to run his hands over Steve's chest now, because he'll be forever caught up in how much of him there is. ]

I'm not the one we should be double-checkin' with.

[Steve's hands are, likewise, on Bucky's chest. He had been sort of secretly fascinated with how Bucky filled out when they were teenagers, how one day he was a scrawny skinny kid and the next he wasn't. But that was before this, before Steve even understood this.]

It's my idea.

[He's smiling, a soft kind of smile.]

Yeah?

[ Leaning up, Bucky kisses him again, something strong and wanting underneath it. ]

[He moves into that kiss, pushing Bucky back against the bed.]

What do you think?

[ Oh. ] And you're totally one hundred percent sure y'want to do this?

[ Because if Steve says yes, Bucky's going to be raring to go and he has to be certain. ]

[punchedhitler]

Yes.

[ Which means Bucky just grins, drags Steve back down for a kiss, hands sliding down his back and holding on to his waist. ]
