Look, you're a strong guy, and sometimes you use that to your advantage and I - I like that? And I don't want you to panic about a bruise because it's not like you meant to do it on purpose and we have a good time, so why worry about it?

[Steve has to take a minute to think about this. Because he never wanted to really use this strength to hurt, just to help. But this is new. This is different and he's not sure what to think about it.]

But what if I really start to hurt you?

[ Coming over to him. ] C'mon, so we got a little carried away. Don't you think I'd let you know if you were doing any damage?

[He closes his fists and opens them, and looks up at Bucky]

I'd stop you. C'mon, Steve. [ A slow, hopeful smile. ] It's like a contact sport.

[ Sitting down beside him, at least his towel makes up for his lack of clothing. ] So you get a little handsy, you're not doing wrong by me, and it isn't your fault. You're not allowed to feel guilty about leaving your mark when it ends up being pretty beneficial for the both of us.

[He keeps his eyes on Bucky]

You ought to put on some clothes.

[ He nods, moves to stand up but only after touching Steve's wrist. ]

Lemme get dressed and try not to break your brain while I'm doing it.

[Lesson learned - do not walk in on Bucky in the shower, or something. He quickly finds something do to with his hands so he's not staring at Bucky. Put away stuff lying on the floor.]

[ It's a good thing he's a soldier, because super speedy dressing. ]

[ Sitting on the other edge of the bed, leaning against the pillows. ] I will knock you out if y'start being gentle with me. I'm not a princess.

[ Sighing, Bucky crosses his arms over his chest, eyes him up. ]

I hate your big stupid sense of goodness.

[punchedhitler]

[Steve just eyes Bucky, and then moves and kisses him on the mouth]

Look, I just don't want to do something that would hurt you.

[ Huffing. ]

You gotta trust me to take care of myself, jerk.

[ He pauses, opens his mouth, closes it again.

Then gently. ] And you can, when I need it. But things like this aren't the end of the world, okay? I don't want you to worry about this because I'm happy. You're not hurting me.

[He's not entirely convinced - he is Steve Rogers, after all, but he'll buy it for now, because he wants Bucky to be okay. So he leans over and puts one hand to Bucky's face and kisses him]

[ Kissing back, trying to communicate how much he's okay, how Steve doesn't have to worry. ]
